You are cordially invited to attend the Summer School that ERC-ACADEMIA/TRIPTIC-EU is organising at the European Festival of Philosophy at Velké Meziříčí (CZ) which will take place from May 31 to June 6, 2023.
Ota Pavlíček and Lukáš Lička will talk about the birth of modern European universities and optics as a specific discipline of medieval science.
Markéta Poskočilová aka Margaritae ars will introduce you to medieval calligraphy in a workshop during which you will be able to experience the work of a medieval scribe or a book illuminator. There is a limited number of seats in the workshop; to book a spot, please write to reditel@jupiterclub.cz (until May 26, 2023).
The lectures and the calligraphy workshop will take place on Saturday, June 3, 2023, in Velké Meziříčí (CZ), from 10 AM (the workshop from 1PM). Both lectures and the calligraphy workshop will be in Czech.
